Privacy Policy

Introduction
The Random Animal Generator ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website at randomanimalgen.net (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the tools. Your privacy matters to us, and we are transparent about what data we handle.
Information We Collect
Automatically Collected Data
When you visit our site, we may collect standard server logs and analytics data, including:
- • Pages visited and time spent on each page
- • Browser type and version
- • Device type and operating system
- • Approximate geographic region (city/country level)
- • Referring website or search query
We use this information to see how the site is doing, improve the tools, prevent abuse, and understand what visitors use. Full Google Analytics storage (cookies) stays off until you allow statistics cookies in the cookie banner. Even without that consent, Google may receive limited cookieless measurement pings under Google's Consent Mode so we can see anonymized traffic patterns.
Information You Voluntarily Provide
If you contact us via email at support@randomanimalgen.net, we will receive your email address and any information you include in your message. We use this data only to respond to your inquiry and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use Cookiebot by Usercentrics to show a cookie banner, record your choices, and block non-essential cookies until you allow them where the law requires that. Necessary cookies needed for the banner and security may run without a separate opt-in. Preferences, statistics, and marketing cookies wait for your choice.
You can change or withdraw your choice anytime with Cookie Settings in the footer (or the Cookiebot widget if it is shown). Turning optional cookies off does not stop you from using the tools.
If ads are shown, advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies — for example to limit how often you see the same ad, reduce fraud, or measure whether an ad was displayed. Your browser settings and the marketing category in Cookie Settings may further limit these where the law or the tools allow.
Cookie declaration
The list below is generated by Cookiebot and shows the cookie categories and providers detected on this site. It updates when Cookiebot rescans the domain.
Third-Party Services
Cookiebot
Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S) runs the consent banner and may store a consent cookie so we remember your choice. Cookiebot processes technical data needed to show the banner and log consent under its own terms and privacy policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall site usage. We run it with Google Consent Mode (advanced). Storage-related signals start as denied. When you allow statistics cookies, Cookiebot updates those signals so Google can use analytics cookies where permitted. When statistics stay off, Google Analytics can still send cookieless pings (without analytics cookies) that Google may use for aggregated or modeled measurement.
Google may process device, browser, approximate location, page, and interaction information based on your consent state and on Google's own policies. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Advertising
We may show light third-party ads on the site, including through Google AdSense or similar networks, so we can keep the tools free. When ads are on, the ad provider may collect or receive ordinary technical details such as IP address, device and browser type, approximate location, page address, and cookie or similar IDs. They may use that information to show ads, personalize them where allowed, and measure delivery, under their own policies. Marketing consent in Cookiebot controls Google ads-related consent signals where Consent Mode applies.
We do not sell your personal information. Ad partners handle data under their own terms. For Google ads, see Google's privacy information and ad settings. You can also use your browser's tracking controls or other industry opt-out tools where they are available. The tools still work if you block or limit ads.
Error Reporting
We may use an error-reporting service to notice technical failures and fix them. A report can include the page you were on and basic browser or device details. We remove obvious personal data before reports are stored. This is only for keeping the site working — not for ads or building marketing profiles — and it is separate from optional Google Analytics.
Managing Your Consent
Your cookie choices are stored by Cookiebot in your browser until you change them, clear site data, or the consent period expires. Open Cookie Settings in the footer anytime to renew or change them. A change applies going forward; it cannot erase information that was already collected lawfully before you withdrew consent.
Data Retention
Server logs are kept for a limited time (typically about 30 days) and then deleted. Error reports are kept only long enough to find and fix problems. Email is kept only as long as needed to answer you. Advertising partners and Cookiebot keep data under their own schedules.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- • Request access to personal data we hold about you
- • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
- • Object to or restrict processing of your data
- • Request data portability
- • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
- • Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information where laws such as the CCPA/CPRA use those terms (we do not sell personal information)
To use any of these rights with us, email support@randomanimalgen.net. We will respond within 30 days. Some ad-related or CMP-related requests can only be handled by the partner; when that is the case, we will point you to the right place if we can.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
This site is meant to be usable by families and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You do not need an account. If we show ads, we aim to follow the rules that apply to children's privacy in the places we serve. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
